Matt Bauer is a Civil/Structural Engineering Consultant in the Transmission and Distribution Division at Burns & McDonnell. He is a licensed engineer in both the United States and Canada. His experience includes design, project management, and construction support and management on substation projects of various sizes and contract arrangements across North America.
Mr. Bauer has been active throughout his career in ASCE and IEEE technical committees related to the T&D industry. He is currently serving as the Chair for the IEEE Power and Energy Society's Substation Committee and previously served as the Substation Committee's Civil Design Subcommittee Chair.
