Vision statement

ASCE has been an integral part of my identity as a civil engineer for the last 15 years, having served in a leadership position at the student, YMF, section, and region level. As a candidate for Region 9 Governor Sacramento, my mission is to bridge the gaps between different levels of ASCE membership, specifically from student chapter to YMF and YMF to Section/Branch. I will promote leadership and professional development at the Student and YMF levels while paving a clear path to carry those leadership skills to the Section and Region levels. In addition, I will create more opportunities for collaboration between the Sacramento Section branches and provide support for branches in more rural areas. I am committed to not only growing ASCE membership, but growing membership involvement and leadership. My vision as Region 9 Governor Sacramento is to raise awareness of the vital role that civil engineers play in society by promoting our profession’s visibility and advocating for policies that strengthen the role of civil engineers as stewards of resilient and equitable communities.
