Vision statement

As a candidate for Region 9 Governor of San Francisco Section, my vision is to enhance the ASCE experience and promote the civil engineering profession.

Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles such as President of the ASCE San Francisco Section, Founder & Chair of the Structural Engineering Institute (San Francisco Section), and Co-Chair of the California Infrastructure Report Card (Bridges). Through these roles, I have actively promoted civil engineering and ASCE’s vision.

During my term, I aim to create a collaborative and inclusive environment within ASCE, promoting the profession, members, and professional growth. Strengthening the community among Region 9 sections, branches, and student chapters is a top priority.

As a skilled leader, communicator, and planner, I will provide valuable feedback to the ASCE Board of Direction and help steer the Society toward its goals. I will participate in meetings of the Geographic Region Board of Governors, serve on Society-level committees, and attend various ASCE events to ensure our members' voices are heard.
