Vision statement

My ASCE involvement began as a student and has since remained constant in my life. After graduation, I became Chair of the Hospitality Committee beginning my 17 years of service to ASCE Georgia. I served multiple committee roles before joining the Board in 2012. After serving multiple Board roles, I became section President for two terms ending in 2023, as I became Co-Chair for the 2024 Infrastructure Report Card. I have been involved in Society-level committees since 2016. The opportunities and advantages experienced because of active ASCE involvement during these 21 total years are immeasurable; exponentially worth every second of time that I have served.

My vision for ASCE is two-fold: to ensure our members understand the benefits of ASCE leadership involvement and to streamline our leadership training programs.

Our members will understand that active involvement in ASCE means exciting travel, real-world leadership training, opportunities impacting global communities, connections with prominent engineers and power players in the industry, and introductions to life-long mentors.

Secondly, although countless opportunities for impromptu leadership training thru ASCE involvement exist, the opportunities we provide for organized training are overwhelming. We will develop a streamlined approach to our leadership training programs making them more accessible for our members.
