Exploring opportunities in cross-cutting engineering specialties and CTA

Did you know ASCE has a group for aerospace engineers? Cold regions engineers? What about sustainability professionals and those specializing in climate adaptation? Yes, ASCE has all of these.

ASCE’s Committee on Technical Advancement (CTA) is home to 10 unique areas of civil engineering — including growing specialties, and several that are cross-cutting. Join us to learn more about CTA and how involvement with these groups can help to advance your technical skill set.

You’ll hear from two female engineers who are currently leading CTA: Committee Chair Heather Brooks and Staff Director Lindsay O’Leary. Heather and Lindsay will each share tips from their personal ASCE leadership journey and highlight how involvement as a volunteer has paralleled (and propelled) their career progression.
