Alba Yerro Colom is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech. Her research focuses on the numerical modeling of geotechnical problems that involve large deformations of the ground such as slope failures and soil-water-structure interaction problems. Particularly, she focuses on the development of the material point method and multi-phase phase formulations.
