Edward J Wimmer has practiced civil engineering in the development arena for over 20 years as both a private consulting engineer and also working for local agencies. He is currently head of Development Services for the City of La Quinta. La Quinta is a southern California tourist destination in the Palm Springs area with all types of residential development including condominiums, apartments, townhouses, gated communities, and very low, low, middle, high and very high income housing. Mr. Wimmer owns a consulting engineering firm and has served as Public Works Director and City Engineer for two southern California cities.
Ed earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from San Diego State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (Civil) in California and a member of the American Public Works Association and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
