Emily Mitchell Ayers has spent more than a decade integrating stormwater management projects into their ecosystems, and learning to build new ecosystems to treat stormwater. Her background in ecological engineering gives her a unique understanding of the natural and built worlds and the interfaces between them.
Emily works for The Low Impact Development Center Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of Low Impact Development technology. Low Impact Development is a comprehensive land planning and engineering design approach with a goal of maintaining and enhancing the pre-development hydrologic regime of urban and developing watersheds.
