Matthew J. Niermann joined Schnabel in 1998 and is currently the Vice President of R&D. Experienced with soil nailing, bracing, tiebacks, micropiles, underpinning, soil mixing and jet grouting. Mr. Niermann received his BS and MS degrees in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, IL. He has participated in several ADSC, DFI, PTI, and ASCE technical committees and is the outgoing chair of the Post-Tensioning Institute's Prestressed Rock and Soil Anchor Committee.
