Nancy Powell works part time for Arcadis as a water resources technical specialist and engineering consultant, providing technical assistance and review for flood risk reduction, environmental restoration, and navigation projects across the United States. Previously, she had a 34-year career at the New Orleans District Corps of Engineers, the last seven as Chief of the Hydraulics and Hydrologic Branch where she led teams engaged in modeling and hydraulic design for projects such as Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction (HSDRRS) and Mississippi River and Tributaries. Ms. Powell was also a member of the lnteragency Performance Evaluation Team (IPET) performing evaluation of the New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana Hurricane Protection System post-Hurricane Katrina.
