Ronnie Medlock is the Vice President of Technical Services at High Steel Structures, LLC in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he is responsible for quality control and implementation of fabrication technology. His present professional affiliations include the American Welding Society, the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA), the AASHTO/NSBA Steel Bridge Collaboration, the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, and the Transportation Research Board. Prior to joining High Steel in 2006, he worked at the Texas Department of Transportation, where he was Director of Technical Services at the Bridge Division and responsible for bridge railing design, traffic structures design, geotechnical design, historic bridge design, and bridge standards and software. Before working at the Bridge Division, he served as Director of Steel Bridge Fabrication Inspection for the Construction Division. Medlock is a licensed professional engineer and a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin, with both bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering, and received an AISC Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
