ASCE has honored Ani R. Sarkissian, A.M.ASCE, with the 2022 Daniel W. Mead Prize for Younger Members for the paper “Informed, Inclusive, and Innovative: A New Code of Ethics.”
In this paper, Sarkissian demonstrates how ASCE and its members have a positive impact on society around them. She cites that the updated Code of Ethics and its new structure promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, moving from a Canon structure to a Stakeholder structure that has provided valuable guidance to ensure we look toward a bright future.
The Daniel W. Mead Prize for Younger Members is awarded to the author or authors of a paper on professional ethics. Each year the specific topics, if any, of the contest for the forthcoming year will be selected by the Committee on Younger Members.
