Vision statement

I am excited about the opportunity to apply for ASCE Region 8 Governor. If elected, I will be an advocate and ambassador for the Civil Engineering profession and the American Society of Civil Engineers. It is my intent to help others in the profession, lead by example, and do my part to help advance the contributions to society by the Civil and Environmental Engineers. Working as a Civil and Environmental Engineer over the last 40 years I have learned that there is no shortcut to achievement of successful projects or career. I will look to apply this philosophy to my active participation on the Region 8 Board of Governors and any associated committee assignments. ASCE's Mission, to provide value to our members, advance civil engineering, and serve the public good will be in my front thoughts. I will support and be an advocate for ASCE's Mission, Vision and Commitment to Members as outlined in the new Strategic Plan 2023-2028. I will use my education, experience, knowledge from professional practice and understanding of ASCE to support our members and to help promote and implement the Strategic Plan and Shifts.
