Elected Region 6 Governor
Vision statement
My vision as a Governor will be to support the values of the organization, promote positive change within ASCE and continue to strengthen its members. I will deliver ASCE’s Global goals and challenges to the Region. I will commit to being a conduit for development of Civil engineers across the Region to enhance collaboration of innovative and sustainable solutions. I want to be a vehicle to equip engineers for an unknown future we can’t imagine. My aspirations during my term as Governor include:
- Cultivating opportunities to bring new products into the industry and developing plans to assist agencies with acceptance of products and technologies.
- Bringing Institutes together to provide professional expertise in the advancement of innovative solutions.
- Promoting life-cycle sustainability thinking and perspective to the project cost process.
- Supporting opportunities for sections to promote conferences, webinars, and networking events.
- Supporting Student Symposiums across the region and Younger Member involvement with students.
- Introducing students to career opportunities the Civil Engineering industry has to offer and being a role model on how ASCE will play a major role in their leadership and professional advancement.
- Promoting the importance of Civil Engineers’ involvement in government policies and funding decisions.
