AEI has 23 Student Chapters in the US, all actively supporting students’ growth as future civil engineers.

• AEI Student Scholarship

  The Architectural Engineering Institute Student Scholarship was created by the AEI National Student Officers to provide deserving architectural engineering students with financial aid, to encourage engagement and involvement in the Architectural Engineering Institute and to encourage further education and growth in the field.

  Requirements:

  1. Currently enrolled in an ABET/EAC accredited architectural engineering program.
  2. An unofficial school transcript (in PDF format).
  3. A recent copy of your resume (in PDF format).
  4. List of activities related to involvement in your architectural engineering department (50 words or less).
  5. Personal statement describing your involvement in your department and the architectural engineering field (500 words or less).
  6. A letter of recommendation from a professor.

  Who Can Apply?

  All undergraduate and graduate level students who (1) intend to continue education in architectural engineering in the current academic year, and (2) are in good academic standing with their university of study, may apply for this scholarship.

• Form an AEI Student Chapter

  The creation of new AEI Chapters within Sections and Branches is strongly encouraged by ASCE. If your group is interested in forming an AEI Local Chapter, or an AEI Student Chapter, email AEI staff at [email protected] for more information.

  To qualify, an AEI Student Chapter:

  • shall be comprised of students currently enrolled in or pursuing a curriculum in architectural engineering or a related field; and
  • meet the requirements of student membership as set forth in the AEI constitution and bylaws.

  AEI Student Chapters are required to submit an Annual Report containing:

  • Contact information
  • Detailed summaries of activities and events for the past year
  • A statement and assessment of goals
