Bioinspired Structures
Purpose:
To promote the application of biomimicry in the development of structural forms, materials and methods of analysis; to advocate for holistic design and sustainable construction of built environments by emulating the structure, topology, and functionality of natural habitats or naturally formed physiological systems. The committee aims to establish a nexus among researchers, practitioners, and educators from multiple disciplines in support of innovative approaches for the analysis and design of structures.
