Allen Adams is Chief Structural Engineer for the RAM group at Bentley Systems, Inc., and the Product Manager of the RAM Structural System software. He was one of the founders of RAM International prior to its acquisition by Bentley Systems. He was a project engineer for Culp & Tanner Structural Engineers for 11 years, involved in the design of hotels, civic centers, medical and office buildings and parking garages. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University.
Allen is currently a member of ASCE Committee on Design of Steel Building Structures. He previously served on the ASCE Technical Council on Forensic Engineering - Task Committee on Avoiding Failures Caused by Computer Misuse. He is also a member of three AISC committees: AISC Committee on Specifications, AISC Committee on Manuals Subcommittee M5: Seismic Design, and AISC Committee on Specifications Task Committee 10: Stability. He has presented at NASCC, SEI Structures Congress, ASCE Annual Convention, and others.
