Jimmy Mitchell, LEED AP BD+C, started with Skanska in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Georgia Tech. Sustainability is a career passion, one of Georgia’s first LEED managers, created the Atlanta Mission urban garden, and a founding board member of the construction material reuse nonprofit based in Atlanta, the Lifecycle Building Center. His current role with Skanska is Senior Director of Business Development. His project experience includes the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design which in April 2021 became the 28th fully certified Living Building Challenge project.
