Les Jacobson is a Vice President and Senior ITS Manager for WSP (formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff) in Seattle, WA. He has over 39 years' experience in transportation engineering. He is involved with or manages intelligent transportation systems, managed lane, and tolling projects across the country. He has written guidance documents for FHWA on the topics of ramp metering and active traffic management. Les managed a He has worked on managed lane projects in New York, Texas, California, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington State. Les worked for the Washington State DOT for 22 years before joining Parsons Brinckerhoff in 1999. He was involved in the development and operation of HOV lanes from the early 1980's through the time he left WSDOT.
