Peter is a Principal at MKA with 30 years of experience and specializing in seismic evaluations, renovations, and expansions of historic and landmark buildings. He was the founding chair of the Existing Building Committee of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington, and since 2013 has served as vice chair of ASCE's Seismic Rehabilitation Standards Executive Committee charged with the development of ASCE 41. Peter is actively involved in structural engineering code development, particularly relative to the renovation of existing buildings, contributing to or co-authoring standards and provisions for organizations such as ATC, FEMA, and NEHRP as well as ASCE.
