Richard L. Mikut is a Civil Engineer that has worked in the rigging and heavy construction industry since 2008. He is the principal engineer and managing member of The Dothea Group, LLC, an engineering consulting firm that specializes in lift planning, temporary structures, and rigging design for heavy construction activities in the power generation sector.
Rick is a member of the ASCE Construction Institute Crane Safety Committee. Since 2017, as Principal at The Dothea Group, LLC, Rick has specialized in rigging and construction engineering, mainly in the power generation sector. Rick has designed and managed projects across North America that utilize heavy lifting with cranes and alternative lifting methods. Rick is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). Besides being a PE, Rick also received his MBA from Kent State University and he maintains his certification for his OSHA 30 and lifeline design. Rick is licensed as a Professional Engineer in over 30 states.
