Tim Dodson is a principal project manager with the Oregon Department of Transportation where, for 24 years, he has filled a variety of technical and managerial positions in development of highway and bridge projects. Tim has been a leader in development of alternative contracting at ODOT. He was on the teams developing ODOT's procedures for Design-Build (DB) contracting in 1998 and for Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contracting in 2008. He was project manager of ODOT's first design-build construction project, and ODOT's first CM/GC project. Prior to ODOT, Tim worked for eight years for civil and geotechnical consulting firms. He has a passion for innovative approaches to project development.
Tim was the project manager of the I-5 Willamette River Bridge project in Eugene-Springfield, ODOT's first CM/GC project. He managed the environmental phase, the A&E and Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) procurement, and the pre-construction phase of the project.
Tim has bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from Oregon State University, and is a licensed professional engineer in Oregon.
