One of ASCE’s own has earned Engineering News-Record’s highest honor.
Mark Pestrella, P.E., M.ASCE, received the ENR Award of Excellence on March 27 in New York City.
Pestrella has dedicated his entire career to the Los Angeles County Public Works, now serving as director of the nation’s largest city public works department. He also chairs ASCE’s Industry Leaders Council.
ENR named Pestrella one of its annual newsmakers earlier this year before bestowing the Award of Excellence upon him last week, writing: “For his passion to serve the public, his ability to foster interagency partnerships and his steadfast commitment to equity, sustainability, and resilience, ENR’s editorial team selected Mark Pestrella to receive the Award of Excellence, its highest honor.”
