Institutes & Technical Groups
Discipline-specific institutes and technical groups bring together volunteers from around the world to advance the profession's technical, business, and professional expertise. Knowledge, experience, and best practices are shared through conferences, workshops, peer-reviewed journals, books, manuals of practice, seminars, webinars, and consensus standards.

Technical Groups
The field of aerospace researches advanced and emerging technologies for civil engineering application in the space frontier and other extreme environments.
The Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Change researches the changing climate and its effects on the safety, health and welfare of the public as it interfaces with civil engineering infrastructure.
The Cold Regions Engineering Division evaluates the effects of cold regions environments upon civil engineering practice.
Improving the practice of civil engineering by promoting the effective use of current and emerging computing technologies as applied to civil engineering.
The Energy Division provides leadership on technical, professional and policy issues that bear on energy in all its forms.
Forensic engineering is the application of engineering principles to the investigation of failures or other performance problems.
The Infrastructure Resilience Division develops products and services to advance resilient practices related to civil infrastructure and lifeline systems in support of community resilience.
The Committee on Sustainability (COS) is dedicated to ensuring a sustainable future through actionable initiatives, projects, and products. This committee shall direct, oversee, and coordinate the Society's implementation of ASCE’s Sustainability Roadmap.
