The Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) produces several publications. These publications, as well as others published by ASCE, help T&DI members stay current with the current state of practice and research in the field.
Disruptive Emerging Transportation Technologies
Disruptive Emerging Transportation Technologies, a new book prepared by T&DI's CAV Impacts Technical Committee members Heng Wei, Yinhai Wang, and Jianming Ma, is a valuable resource discussing the future of transportation technology. With a particular emphasis on 4IR technologies and their emergence in transportation engineering, the authors discuss ways to implement these strategies into transportation planning and development, infrastructure design, and traffic management. Topics include artificial intelligence, computing, virtual reality, surface transportation automation, emerging mobility services, unmanned aerial vehicle technologies, and much more. This material is suitable for anyone interested in disruptive emerging transportation technologies.
