The Committee on Claims Reduction Management (CCRM) hosted a workshop in 2024 at ASCE headquarters on strategies for reducing engineers’ risks on alternative delivery projects. The workshop focused primarily on Design-Build projects. This presentation will review discussions from that workshop, helping engineers reduce claims and mitigate risks on Design-Build projects. Join Dan Becker, Chair of the committee, to learn about the basics of CCRM, the paradigm shifts on Design-Build projects, common claims, and effective planning and execution strategies.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Identify the key risks and claims engineers deal with on Design-Build projects.
• Develop effective strategies for planning and executing Design-Build projects.
• Implement recommended practices for mitigating risks and claims.
