EREP Methods, Analysis and Technical Guidance TC
Purpose:
The mission of the Task Committee is to disseminate technical knowledge about hydraulic fracturing (in the form of methods, analyses, and technical guidance documents) and to provide potential solutions to mitigate risks to the environment and water resources. The task committee will also research and develop information on technologies and management practices to address environmental aspects of oil and gas development involving hydraulic fracturing. This effort will focus on potential solutions for issues such as handling and treatment of injection fluids and produced water, reducing and remediating surface water and groundwater contamination, managing water supply and demand, and understanding the fracturing processes.
