Instructor: Kevin Chang, Ph.D., P.E.
Purpose and Background
This webinar will benefit any professional who is interested in learning about traffic signal operations and timing parameters at an intersection. This webinar will identify the key parameters and explain how these parameters contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of traffic signal operations. Real-world examples will be provided to help the participant understand these concepts.
Learning Outcomes and Benefits
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the key timing parameters at a signalized intersection
- Determine the optimal values for traffic control parameters at an intersection
- Assess timing parameters for pedestrians at a signalized intersection
- Build your knowledge base with regard to signal timing and operations at intersections
- Facilitate your understanding of the relationship between timing parameters and its impact on signal operations
Assessment of Learning Outcomes
Students' achievement of the learning outcomes will be assessed via a short post-assessment (true-false, multiple choice and fill in the blank questions).

How to Earn your CEUs/PDHs and Receive Your Certificate of Completion
To receive your certificate of completion, you will need to complete a short on-line post-test and receive a passing score of 70% or higher within 1 year of purchasing the course.
How do I convert CEUs to PDHs?
1.0 CEU = 10 PDHs [Example: 0.1 CEU = 1 PDH]
