Conference Committee

1.  Establish and promote mechanisms to create interest and solicit proposals for hosting the annual EMI conferences (national and international), appropriately engaging the different EMI committees and actors.

2. Evaluate expressions of interest and provide recommendations to the BoG for the selection of appropriate venues for the annual EMI conferences (national and international), ensuring that priorities of the diverse EMI community are well served.


3. Act as an additional liaison with the (national and international) EMI conference organizing committees to ensure that the interests of the broader EMI community are well represented in the planning of the annual conferences.

4. Evaluate and provide recommendations to the EMI leadership (including conference organizing committees) about best practices and initiatives (introduced in previous conferences) related to handling of budget and organization of sessions, symposia and special events.
