2025-2026 Mentoring Program
The Diversity and Mentoring Committee of the Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI) is pleased to announce the launch of its 2025-2026 Mentoring Program. This year’s program is specifically designed to support and advance the careers of tenure-track faculty who identify as female or belong to underrepresented minority groups. The initial phase of the program will focus on pairing these tenure-track faculty with experienced mentors to address the unique challenges they face during the early stages of their academic careers. However, this initiative is part of a broader plan to eventually extend mentoring opportunities to other members within the EMI community in the coming years.
Eligible members are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity to be matched with experienced mentors within the EMI community who are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in the field. This program is a key component of our ongoing efforts to create a more equitable and supportive environment for all members, ensuring that the next generation of engineering mechanics scholars thrives and reaches their full potential.
