Isamar Escobar is a Civil Engineer in Highway Construction with the Federal Highway Administration – Western Federal Lands Highway Division where she provides on-site administration of construction contracts. She works to improve transportation to and within Federal and Tribal Lands by providing technical services to the highway/transportation community, as well as building accessible and scenic roads that ensure that many national treasures within our federal lands can be enjoyed by all.
Prior to joining the public sector, Isamar spent the first part of her professional career in the private sector working in hydrology and hydraulic design and construction management. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and has been a passionate member of ASCE since her sophomore year. She has served in various roles within ASCE from student chapters to local branches, and society committees. In and out of work, Isamar loves inspiring, educating, and empowering others to help us move towards a more equitable, kind, resilient and sustainable future. Her roles at work and in ASCE are examples of Isamar’s incredible passion for public service and working to better our quality of life.
