ASCE Region 10 is the home of ASCE global members and covers all 174 countries outside of US, Canada, and Mexico. There are 30 Sections in Region 10, formed at a country level.
ASCE Sections are governed by member leaders with an active role in managing the Section, overseeing its various activities, and communicating with the Region, Global Programs, and other ASCE. Member networking and discussions are available on the ASCE Collaborate platform where Sections have organized communities.
Having responsible and effective member volunteers in the officers’ roles is crucial for the Section to function, to engage member participation and lead them in Section activities of benefit to all members and the civil engineering profession. ASCE and Global Programs provide training, resources, and support to enhance their leadership. Student Members are included in the Section’s operation and participate in activities and programs to help them thrive.
To form a Section
Establishment requires multiple steps, starting with the review of the number of members in a country as the primary requirement. If you are a voting member of ASCE in good standing, contact ASCE Global Programs when you are ready to express an interest, and we will guide and assist you.
A voting member of ASCE is a member in good standing in the Affiliate, Associate, Member, Fellow, or Distinguished member grades. Students are not eligible to initiate formation or hold officer roles.
