The Career Path Panel was held at EMI PMC 24 in Chicago, Illinois. The panel consisted of a discussion featuring panelists from the academia, national lab, and the industry, followed by a networking session. The goal was to offer students, postdocs, and early-career researchers an opportunity to learn from senior researchers from varying backgrounds about their career paths, career development options and advice, work-life balance, and mentoring experience.
A follow-up networking session enabled attendees to have more personalized
interaction with the panelists to promote potential mentor-mentee
relationships.
The networking session also provided opportunities for
attendees to build networking relationships with peers, exchange research
interests, and establish new collaborations.
