The Panel for Women in Engineering took place during the Engineering Mechanics Institute Conference and Probabilistic Mechanics & Reliability 2024 Conference (EMI/PMC 2024) in Chicago, IL, 28-31, May.
This panel was a vibrant addition to the EMI Conference program. The dynamic panel consisted of successful women leaders in the EMI community. They shared their journeys overcoming social and cultural barriers and their remarkable career triumphs. They offered empowering advice to future women engineers, stressing the importance of faculty and peer mentorship. The discussion highlighted the expansion of the role of women in engineering mechanics and in the EMI community.
